Robbery -- Was It a Robbery?

Or was it an ATTEMPTED robbery? Technically, I suppose you'd be right in saying it was a robbery. The robber got $20 and was able to get out of the store.

But he didn't get very far. Nor did he live. So I'm not sure how successful it was.

So, callint it a robbery wouldn't be wrong. But I'd argue that calling it an attempted robbery would be better. Or, better yet, a failed robbery.
