Sorry to say, but there ya go. One of you wrote that Oliver Brookes suffered $814 in damage. In fact, it was $184. You transposed your numbers. And that is a fatal.
Please, make sure you are double-checking names, numbers, titles, addresses, statistics, ages and such both as you're writing and after you finish writing, to make sure you didn't accidentally reverse something.
This is a common mistake. And no, spell check wouldn't have caught it.
For the semester, that means we are up to six people who have fataled. We're almost a third of teh way through the class roster. Only 15 of you to go.
